Satisfactory completion of the course qualifies anyone 26 and under to operate a vessel of 10 hp or over and 14 to 16 year olds to operate Personal Water Craft as required by State & Local Law.

Many Insurance companies offer discounts on boat insurance to individuals who successfully complete a boating safety course.
